Last quarter I read the Screwtape Letters by C.S Lewis. The Screwtape Letters is a Epistolary novel that is 223 pages. It takes a look into the letters between two demons, Screwtape and Wormwood. The letters about Screwtape's progression on his victim of trying to get him to hell. It goes into tricks that the devil uses to try to keep us from Gond and be on the wrong path. The letters show Screwtape's victories and frustrations. The book was hard to read because it wasn't really something that people understand and know about. It also wasn't a book where you get connected to the characters, so that makes it kind of boring. The book was composed into an unorganized way and you don't know what day it is or what has happened in between times. There are a lot of open time slots in the story. Eventhough it was difficult to read, I really like the idea of the book, to get an idea of the spiritual war. Many people just try to avoid bad things, but this book shows some stuff that hints that something isn't right.

  1. The novel you read sounds really interesting, and books with no chapters are okay, you just have to read closely to understand them. :)

Last quarter I read 2 books one was a autobiography by Derek Jeter and the other book was another autobiography as well by Phil Jackson, the book is called Sacred Hoops. These two books goes into a big chunk of their life of how they came to be and the struggles they came across and over came. In the book Jeter, Jeter explains how to be successful and he says he was successful by the help of the lord, and that every time he was going up to the plate to hit he said a little prayer. In the book Sacred Hoops Phil Jackson explains his days of playing and how it ended with a injury. What I liked about this book was that it goes into detail of Phil childhood. He explains how he was raised and how he got respect from other when he played basketball because he was always very tall. In conclusion the two books I read were helpful to me because I am a athlete and it gives me advise on how to be successful.

  3. I feel like that you need to feel connected to the characters to enjoy the book. Anyways, that book seems fairly interesting and a spooky read.
