Goals
It is important to set realistic, time-sensitive goals in life because that way, we all have something to strive for. People think that life is a piece of cake, people think you can just walk into a room and everything you want will be handed to you, but that's not how life is. In life, you have to work hard and work towards that career or job you want. School can be frustrating, I know, but we all have to go through those seven long hours of math, science, English, history, and all other subjects, because I know we all want to be someone in life. Sometimes I feel like teachers do not understand students. Sometimes I feel like they are not aware that we have five other assignments for other classes, and yet they leave us homework that's due the next day. I get headaches and I stress out because I get loads of homework everyday, even on the weekends. But at the same time, I feel like it is a good way to prepare us for college or a university. In college we're going to have many more harder assignments to deal with and projects that will take hours to complete, and the assignments we're getting now, its all just a taste of what we're going to be getting in the future. This year, I'm planning on becoming a better reader and writer. I want to challenge myself and go above the expectations, not just here in Ms. Colln's class, but in all of my other classes too. We don't have much time left to think about that one question every grown up asks us, "What are you going to be when you grow up?" I already know I want to be a cardiovascular surgeon. Ever since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to save people's lives. I want to save people from all over the world, the race does not matter, nor does the age, I just want to help out anybody I can. I want to maintain my grades and keep a high GPA so I can reach these goals and become the person I want to be.

There have been many instances when I felt frustrated because every teacher is assigning an abundant amount of work at the same time; however, I combat this frustration by thinking ahead and imagining the work I will have to receive when I grow up. When I read your post, it encouraged me to try harder because other people feel the same way as I do. Also, it made me realize that things will just keep getting harder, and to make it easier I have to get used to it now, so when the time comes, I'll know what to do.
