[KC]: Julius Caesar Issue Analysis

Hi, all! If you were absent on Friday for Homecoming festivities, here is the activity you need to make up on your notebook. We were introduced to some issues that will come up in our play. We'll discuss and debate these as we go along.

This is the ISSUE ANALYSIS activity. Copy the statements below into your notebook and, for each one, write whether you think that is TRUE or FALSE and why.
  1. It is better to have one best friend.
  2. It is sometimes okay to betray a friend.
  3. You should always trust you friends.
  4. You should seek revenge on a friend if they have done something really wrong.
  5. War is a good thing.
  6. Sometimes being superstitious is a good thing.
  7. It's never right to kill another person.
  8. People should never compromise their beliefs or ideals.
  9. Language is a powerful weapon, and,  in the hands of a skilled person, it can be used to manipulate others.
  10. Power -- or even popularity -- can change a person.
Be honest.  Be clear. Understand your beliefs.
