who is your "Batman"

I perceive a “batman” as someone who is mentally and physically broken down but keeps their head up against those who try to bring them down. Batman symbolizes “anyone can be a hero” by not having actual super abilities. Someone that can be seen as a batman are celebrities. some of them are out to help those who need it and others are battling their inner-selves and the people at the same time. The media plays a big part of some peoples actions positively and negatively. For example, some celebrities will do whatever they please to give the media something to talk about. The media mostly reflects off of the negatives in their lives for publicity and attention. Also similar to batman they aren’t only handling their personal lives but also the outside world. Some are seen as an unwelcomed being to everyone. For instance, in 2009 Chris Brown beat Rihanna, and the news made him look like an anima because a man beat a woman. In fact he did, but she had spit in his face, and slapped him repeatedly before he touched her. The news and everyone never told that side and made it look like he did it because he wanted to. Certainly, showing how the media was instigating the situation. Because of the broadcasting, he’s still looked at as a woman beater in some peoples eyes. Other celebrities are looked at as a hero with no powers because of their ability of wanting to save and help the population the same way batman  was out to be.

  1. I agree that celebrities could be batman. Many people in the world not only have their parents as heroes, but they also look up to their celebrities.

  2. Do you have a celebrity in particular that you feel epitomizes Batman in particular. Of course the media is skewed and doesn't portray events free of bias and accurately, but do you believe Chris Brown's harassment was equally justified or excessive?
