Who is your "Batman"

Batman has many positive traits and his power can be attributed to his childhood. He sees his parents murdered which serves as a catalyst to taking an oath of vengeance and punishing criminals without obstructing his moral code. Most people would have experienced negative effects after witnessing their parents deaths, but instead Batman underwent a journey to physical and mental excellence, dedicating himself to protecting the city of Gotham. The media often depicts Batman as a criminal, yet Batman remains unconcerned and continues fighting crime because he believes that Gotham is capable of justice. Batman's foremost qualities is notably his intelligence and obsessive passion. One figure in my life that epitomizes Batman is my uncle. My uncle is an engineer and he often stays overnight in his office to finish some sort of project he is working on. The last time I saw him was months ago and like Batman, he lives like a recluse. However, he is dedicated to his job because half of the time he is always talking about schematics or state plane coordinates and I am not able to comprehend what he is saying. Like Batman, he is willing to go against anything to achieve a higher goal.

  1. Would you consider Batman in a state of mental excellence despite his evident post traumatic stress disorder displayed through his flashbacks and inner monologue? Although you don't see your uncle that often, do you still have a close relationship with him outside of the Batman aspect.

  2. I can relate with what you’ve said about your Uncle because my Dad is the same way. I think it’s important to be passionate about your job, however, spending too much time working could negatively effect things in your personal life. Even though you don’t see him that often, are you close with your uncle and talk to him between the times that you do see him?
