Who is your Batman?
Throughout my life many of my relatives and friends displayed the heroic characteristics of the Batman. Of them all, I can primarily spotlight my great mom who has protected me from the evil flaws in the world, one being drugs and alcohol. My mom has always found success on scaring me away from drugs by using some of her relatives as examples on how drugs can very easily trash your whole life. She has also been the wise owl in my life as a result of my dad not going through the same awful childhood as her. My mom went through a hard childhood kind of like Batman, except her parents did not die in front of her. Growing up in the ghetto East Los Angeles, my mom helplessly witnessed abuse and rapes, some being performed on her loved ones. Rather than washing away the tragic memories, she found a way to convert them to life lessons that could then be passed on to me so that if I ever have to witness such things, I would not make the same mistake to sit and watch instead of finding help and a way to shame that failure of a human. I hope to carry on my mother’s legacy after her death to raise my children as well as she did to me, I think. I can also see Batman leaving his own legacy behind the day he is finally defeated, maybe to a close friend of his like Robin or even a Son Of Batman.

I feel for your mother. She must have had a hard time growing up, especially in East LA. That place is sketchy. She seems like a very good parent and it is good that she is keeping you away from drugs and alcohol. Don't do drugs and alcohol.
ReplyDeleteI can realate with you because eveytime something happens or i do something my mom always makes a lesson out of the situation but it is good our moms do that because we can comprehend what the future is going to be like.
